Alfie

How did you and Alfie first meet, and what drew you to each other?

We knew Alfie was the dog for us when we saw his cheeky, mischievous face. He looked like he was plotting something naughty and we knew he would be full of personality.

What ridiculous nicknames do you have for him, and how did he earn them?

Poor Alfie has LOTS of different names. His first nickname was sprout (because of his typical beagle tail), then it was bean sprout, now he just gets called beans, beanie, Alfie bean, Alfredo, Alfanator and Alfred when he is naughty.

How would you describe his personality?

Alfie is like a naughty toddler on raspberry cordial most of the time. He is full of energy and must be the centre of attention. If he isn’t getting attention he will find something to steal, dangle it in front of you and run away before you can take it. But we love him for it.

What does he love to do the most?

Alfie LOVES walkies. His favourite place to walk to is the beach because there are so many good smells!

What's everyday life like with your boy by your side?

Alfie loves a good sleep in and morning snuggles. He then loves to go for his morning walk to the local coffee shop and onto the beach for a run and sniff with all his friends.
The rest of the day he will spend shadowing his mum, playing with his toys or asleep in the sun.

What lessons about life or yourself have you learned from Alfie?

Patience! Alfie has also taught us to never keep anything within beagle reach - we now always have a very tidy house for it.

Alfie has brought us so much happiness. We often say we don’t know how we lived without him for so long. He has only been in our lives for a year but it’s been the best year ever!
