How did Harvey and Gus come into your world?
Harvey came into our lives after looking for a hypoallergenic breed. He is a Havanese from a breeder in the blue mountains. He was chosen for us by the breeder based on our personalities and needs in a dog. At 12 weeks of age Harvey was flown down to us ……and there he was a sweet little fur baby, love at first sight!
Gus joined our family 3 months after Harvey, he also was 3 months old, a playmate for Harvey. Just like his brother he flew to Adelaide and that’s where we first met our chocolate brown bundle of joy !!
How would you describe their personalities?
Harvey is moody, determined, loyal, sweet, the dominant of the two dogs and definitely independent. He will make you work for his love.
Gus is always wanting to please, can be quite clingy, sociable, caring and very affectionate.
If they could tell us all something about you, what would they say?
I think Harvey would say he is one of the luckiest dogs around, having gone through so much health wise the love his family gives to him is everything.
Gus would say he is so happy and loves all we do with him.
What do they love to do the most?
Harvey’s favourite thing is to play catch with his ball and to go for a walk.
Gus loves to eat, have belly rubs and go for his daily walk to catch up with his pals.
They both love their family!
What's everyday life like with your boys by your sides?
To have these two dogs by our sides is pure joy, they bring so much love and laughter to the house. They complete our family.
How has having Harvey and Gus changed your lives?
Having the boys has taught patience and compassion, responsibility, to make time to relax, play is important and strength through the hard times.
We love them both so much!
